Disaster Management (Further Extension of Disaster Situation—COVID-19) Regulation (No. 3) 2021

1Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Disaster Management (Further Extension of Disaster Situation—COVID-19) Regulation (No. 3) 2021.

2Further extension of period of disaster situation—Act, s 72

(1)This section applies to the disaster situation—
(a)declared on 22 March 2020, under section 69 of the Act, for the whole of the State; and
(b)extended on 2 April 2020, under section 72 of the Act, by the Disaster Management (Extension of Disaster Situation—COVID-19) Regulation 2020; and
(c)further extended, under section 72 of the Act, on the days and by the regulations stated in schedule 1.
(2)The period of the disaster situation for the whole of the State is further extended, under section 72 of the Act, by 90 days.
(3)Schedule 1 states, for information purposes only, the day to which the period of the disaster situation was extended by each regulation mentioned in that schedule.

Editor’s note—

The period of the disaster situation is now extended until the end of the day on 26 December 2021.

1Notice of the declaration of the disaster situation was gazetted on 22 March 2020.
2Under section 72 of the Act, this regulation commences on the day it is made and expires at the end of the period stated in subsection (2) unless it is sooner repealed or it expires under section 73(4) of the Act.
