1996]˙Short title1.ThisregulationmaybecitedastheStatutoryBodiesFinancialArrangements
(GOCs) Regulation 1995.˙Application of pt 4 of the Act2.(1)The provisions
of part 4 of the Act listed in schedule 1 are declaredto
apply—(a)for—(i)the
statutory GOCs listed in schedule 2;(ii)the
statutory GOC subsidiaries listed in schedule 3; and(b)for borrowing or raising money;1and(c)without limit of time.(2)However,astatutoryGOCorGOCsubsidiarymentionedinsubsection(1)(a)mayenterintoafinancialarrangementundersection 22(1)(d) of the Act only if—1Undersection157(Proceduresforborrowing)oftheGovernmentOwnedCorporationsAct1993aGOCmayborrowinaccordancewithitspolicies,asoutlined in its statement of corporate
intent, to minimise and manage any risk ofinvestments and
borrowings that may adversely affect its financial
stability.If aproposedborrowingisinaccordancewiththosepolicies,theStatutoryBodiesFinancial Arrangements Act 1982does
not apply to the borrowing.Additionally,undertheGovernmentOwnedCorporations(StatutoryGOCSubsidiaries)Regulation1994,section157isappliedtothestatutoryGOCsubsidiariesmentionedinschedule3ofthisregulation(thatis,thesubsidiariesofQueenslandTransmissionandSupplyCorporation(QTSC)).Fortheapplicationofsection157toasubsidiary,therelevantstatementofcorporateintentisQTSC’s statement of corporate
intent.

Treasurer approves the financial arrangement; and(b)thefinancialarrangementisenteredintoonthetermstheTreasurer considers
appropriate.˙No limitation on existing
instruments3.This regulation does not limit an
instrument applying a provision ofpart 4 of the Act
and made under the Act before the commencement of thisregulation.
