s1 3 Foreign Ownership of Land Register Regulation 1993 s3 FOREIGN OWNERSHIP OF LAND REGISTER REGULATION 1993 [as amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 1 July 2003] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Foreign Ownership of Land Register Regulation 1993 . 2 Notification of change of description of land (1) This section applies if— (a) there is a change in the description (including the title reference) of land in relation to which a notification has been lodged under the Act; and (b) the legal estate of the interest in the land is held by— (i) a foreign person (other than as trustee); or (ii) a person as trustee for a foreign person or foreign trust. (2) A person mentioned in subsection (1)(b) must give the registrar a notification of change of description in the prescribed form. (3) The notification must be given— (a) if the change happens as the result of a subdivision of the land— on the day of lodgment of the plan of survey; or (b) in any other case—within 90 days of the change. (4) A person mentioned in subsection (1)(b) is taken to have given a notification if the notification is given by the person’s agent. 3 Fees The fees payable under the Act are stated in the schedule.
