Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2013

1Short title

This notice may be cited as the Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2013.

2Commencement

This notice commences on 1 January 2014.

3Dictionary

The dictionary in schedule 3 defines particular words used in this notice.

4Notice of making of code of practice—Act, s 44

(1)An entry in schedule 1 naming a code of practice is notice for section 44(2) of the Act that the code of practice has been made by the Minister.
(2)The commencement date mentioned in schedule 1, column 3 for each code of practice mentioned in column 2 of the schedule is included for information purposes only.

Note—

Under section 44(5) of the Act, a code of practice made under that section expires 10 years after its commencement date.

5Notice of making of instrument amending code of practice—Act, s 44(2)

(1)This section applies if an entry in schedule 1 for a code of practice states the code of practice has been amended by a ministerial instrument stated in the entry.
(2)The entry is notice for section 44(2) of the Act that the ministerial instrument amending the code of practice has been made.

6Notice of making of instrument repealing codes of practice—Act, s 44(2)

(1)Subsection (2) applies if an entry in schedule 2 for a code of practice states the code of practice has been repealed by a ministerial instrument stated in the entry.
(2)The entry is notice for section 44(2) of the Act that the ministerial instrument repealing the code of practice has been made.
(3)The commencement date and repeal date mentioned in schedule 2, columns 3 and 4 for each code of practice mentioned in column 2 of the schedule are included for information purposes only.

7Repeal of Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2002

The Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2002, SL No. 262 is repealed.
