This regulation may be cited as the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Regulation 2026.
This regulation commences on 1 September 2026.
3Information required for returns—Act, s 62
For section 62(2)(d) of the Act, the following information is required—(a)if the worker is not a registered worker—(i)the worker’s name, birthday and residential address; and(ii)the worker’s email address and mobile phone number, if any; and(iii)the type of cleaning work performed by the worker for the person giving the return;(b)if the worker is a registered worker—the registration number of the worker.
4Classification level—Act, ss 73 and 75
For sections 73(4) and 75(8) of the Act, definition classification level, the classification level ‘Cleaning Services Employee Level Two’ under the federal Cleaning Services Award 2020 is prescribed.
5Percentage for levy—Act, s 83
For section 83 of the Act, the percentage prescribed is 0.5%.
For section 87(1) of the Act, the rate equal to the rate prescribed for unpaid tax interest under the Taxation Administration Act 2001 is prescribed.See the Taxation Administration Regulation 2022, section 6(1).
7Reciprocating State and corresponding law—Act, s 145
(1)For section 145(1)(a) of the Act, a State mentioned in schedule 1, column 1 is declared to be a reciprocating State.(2)For section 145(1)(b) of the Act, a law mentioned in schedule 1, column 2 opposite the reciprocating State is declared to be a corresponding law for the Act.
For schedule 2 of the Act, definition return period, the following periods are prescribed—(a)1 January to 31 March;(b)1 April to 30 June;(c)1 July to 30 September;(d)1 October to 31 December.
