Proclamation No. 2—Expanding Adult Crime, Adult Time and Taking a Strong Stance on Drugs and Anti-Social Behaviour Amendment Act 2026 (commencing certain provisions)

I, DR JEANNETTE ROSITA YOUNG AC PSM, Governor, fix 1 July 2026 for the commencement of the provision of the Act stated in the schedule.

Part 5 of the Act, other than the following provisions—

•sections 24 to 26;

•section 33;

•section 34(1) to the extent it omits definitions drug diversion agreement, drug diversion assessment program, drug diversion warning, minor drugs matter and minor drugs offence;

•section 34(2) to the extent it inserts definitions drug diversion program, minor cannabis offence and minor drug offence;

•section 34(3).
