Explosives Amendment Regulation 2026

1Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Explosives Amendment Regulation 2026.

2Regulation amended

This regulation amends the Explosives Regulation 2017.

3Insertion of new s 83A

After section 83—
insert—

83APrescribed verification systems—Act, s 43A

For section 43A(2)(b) of the Act, the following verification systems are prescribed—

(a)for a licence under the Weapons Act 1990—the Weapons Licence Card Status Check maintained by the Queensland Police Service;

(b)for an interstate firearms authority issued under a law of New South Wales—the Internet Register of Licences and Permits to Acquire maintained by the NSW Police Force;

(c)for an interstate firearms authority issued under a law of Western Australia—the Licensing and Registry Public Portal maintained by the Western Australia Police Force.
