1Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Fisheries Legislation (Sea Cucumbers) Amendment Regulation 2025.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on 1 July 2025.

Part 2 Amendment of Fisheries Declaration 2019

3Declaration amended

This part amends the Fisheries Declaration 2019.

4Amendment of sch 2 (Regulated fish declarations)

(1)Schedule 2, part 2, before entry for amberjack––
insert––

amberfish

if the prescribed commercial catch for the fish is more than 10,000kg––a person taking or possessing the fish while acting under a licence on which is written the fishery symbol ‘B1’

(2)Schedule 2, part 2, after entry for prawn––
insert––

prickly redfish

if the prescribed commercial catch for the fish is more than 40,000kg––a person taking or possessing the fish while acting under a licence on which is written the fishery symbol ‘B1’

(3)Schedule 2, part 2, after entry for samsonfish––
insert––

sandfish

if the prescribed commercial catch for the fish is more than 15,000kg––a person taking or possessing the fish while acting under a licence on which is written the fishery symbol ‘B1’

5Regulation amended

This part amends the Fisheries (General) Regulation 2019.
