Inspector of Detention Services Regulation 2023

1Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Inspector of Detention Services Regulation 2023.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on 1 July 2023.

3Places of detention prescribed for 5-yearly inspection—Act, s 8

For section 8(1)(c)(iii) of the Act, each of the following places of detention is prescribed—

(a)Brisbane City Watch-house located at 240 Roma Street, Brisbane;

(b)Southport Watch-house located at Scarborough Street, Southport.

4Regulation amended

This division amends this regulation.

5Omission of pt 1, hdg and pt 2, hdg

Part 1, heading and part 2, heading—
omit.

6Regulation amended

This division amends the Corrective Services Regulation 2017.

7Amendment of s 10 (Dealing with recording of search)

(1)Section 10(2)—
insert—

(ka)the inspector of detention services; or

(2)Section 10(2)(ka) and (l)—
renumber as section 10(2)(l) and (m).

8Amendment of s 17 (Privileged mail)

Section 17(1)—
insert—

(y)the inspector of detention services.

9Amendment of s 18 (Privileges—Act, sch 4, definition privileges)

Section 18(b)—
insert—

10Regulation amended

This division amends the Public Sector Regulation 2023.

11Amendment of sch 1 (Prescribed persons)
