1Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Education Legislation Amendment Regulation 2022.

2Commencement

(1)Part 2 and section 7 commence on 1 January 2023.
(2)Part 4 commences on 1 October 2022.

5Regulation amended

This part amends the Education (General Provisions) Regulation 2017.

6Amendment of s 35 (Formation of parents and citizens association—Act, s 118)

(1)Section 35
insert—
(2A)The meeting may be held, and eligible persons may take part in the meeting by, using any technology allowing reasonably contemporaneous and continuous communication between persons taking part in the meeting.

Examples of use of technology—

teleconferencing, videoconferencing
(2B)A person who takes part in the meeting under subsection (3) is taken to be present at the meeting.
(2)Section 35(2A) to (3)—
renumber as section 35(3) to (5).
