Proclamation—Mineral and Energy Resources and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2020 (commencing remaining provisions)

I, PAUL de JERSEY AC, Governor, fix the days stated in the schedule for the commencement of the provisions of the Act stated in the schedule.

1The following provisions commence on 1 July 2020 immediately after the commencement of the Resources Safety and Health Queensland Act 2020, part 7—

•part 2, division 3

•sections 30 to 32

•section 34

•part 12

•part 16, heading

•section 175

•sections 203 to 206

•section 208(1), to the extent it omits definition worker

•section 208(2), to the extent it inserts definitions causes, conduct, employer, senior officer and worker

•section 208(4).

2Section 182 commences on 1 July 2020 immediately after the commencement of the Natural Resources and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2019, section 303.

3The following provisions commence on 7 September 2020—

•part 15

•part 16, to the extent it is not otherwise commenced under this proclamation

•part 19

•schedule 1.

4Sections 211 to 213 commence on 1 January 2021.
