This regulation may be cited as the Public Health (Extension of Declared Public Health Emergency—Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)) Regulation 2020.
2Extension of period of declared public health emergency—Act, s 323
(1)This section applies to the declared public health emergency declared by the Minister on 29 January 2020 under section 319(2) of the Act.(2)The period of the declared public health emergency is extended under section 323(1) of the Act.1The period of the declared public health emergency is now extended until the end of the day on 12 February 2020.2The Minister published the declared public health emergency in the gazette on 31 January 2020 under section 321(1)(a) of the Act.1Under section 323(2) of the Act, this regulation commences on the day it is made whether or not it is notified on that day.2Under section 323(3) of the Act, this regulation expires at the end of the extended period unless it is sooner repealed or it expires under section 324(3) of the Act.
