This regulation may be cited as the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Amendment of Deed Regulation 2018.
This regulation amends the Superannuation (State Public Sector) Deed 1990.
3Amendment of s 75D (Acceptance of contributions—member aged at least 65)
(1)Section 75D(2)—
omit, insert—(2)The board may accept a contribution paid by the member only if—(a)both of the following apply—(i)the contribution is received on or before the day that is 28 days after the end of the month in which the member turns 75;(ii)the member was gainfully employed, in the financial year in which the contribution is made, for at least 40 hours in a period of not more than 30 consecutive days; or(b)the contribution is a downsizer contribution.(2)Section 75D—
insert—(4)In this section—downsizer contribution means a contribution covered under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cwlth), section 292-102.
