G20 (Safety and Security) Regulation 2014 [s 1] G20 (Safety and Security) Regulation 2014 [reprinted as in force on 26 September 2014] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the G20 (Safety and Security) Regulation 2014 . 2 Definition In this regulation— additional (non-emergency) security area means an area of land or water— (a) declared to be an additional restricted area under section 4; or (b) declared to be an additional declared area under section 4. 3 Modification of map area—Act, s 9(2)(b) (1) An area shown hatched on a map in schedule 1, part 1, 3, 4, 6 or 7 is not part of the map area shown hatched on the map in schedule 3, part 1 of the Act. (2) For subsection (1), the area shown on the map in schedule 1, part 7 does not include the Queensland Conservatorium of Music building at Grey Street, South Brisbane. (3) Subsection (1) applies— (a) in relation to the area shown on the map in schedule 1, part 6, from midnight 14 November 2014 to midnight 15 November 2014; or (b) otherwise, from the beginning of 14 November 2014 to the end of 17 November 2014. G20 (Safety and Security) Regulation 2014 [s 4] 4 Declaration of additional (non-emergency) security areas—Act, s 12(1) (1) Each area of land or water shown hatched on a map in schedule 1 is declared to be an additional restricted area for the period stated in schedule 3 for the area. (2) Each area of land or water shown hatched on a map in schedule 2 is declared to be an additional declared area for the period stated in schedule 3 for the area. (3) However— (a) the boundary of— (i) the additional restricted area shown on the map in schedule 1, part 5 is subject to section 1 of that schedule; or (ii) the additional declared area shown on the map in schedule 2, part 3 is subject to section 1 of that schedule; or (iii) the additional declared area shown on the map in schedule 2, part 4 is subject to section 2 of that schedule; or (iv) the additional declared area shown on the map in schedule 2, part 5 is subject to section 3 of that schedule; and (b) an additional restricted area is subject to any modification stated in schedule 1 for the area. (4) Unless schedule 3 provides otherwise, each period stated in schedule 3— (a) starts at the beginning of the first day of the period; and (b) ends at the end of the last day of the period. 5 Period for which Act applies to additional (non-emergency) security areas—Act, sch 1, ss 4 and 5 (1) For schedule 1, section 4 of the Act— (a) the date from which the Act applies to an additional (non-emergency) security area in Brisbane is the date on Page 4 Current as at 26 September 2014

G20 (Safety and Security) Regulation 2014 [s 6] which the period stated in schedule 3 for the area starts; and (b) the date on which the Act stops applying to an additional (non-emergency) security area in Brisbane is the date on which the period stated in schedule 3 for the area ends. (2) For schedule 1, section 5 of the Act— (a) the date from which the Act applies to an additional (non-emergency) security area not in Brisbane or Cairns is the date on which the period stated in schedule 3 for the area starts; and (b) the date on which the Act stops applying to an additional (non-emergency) security area not in Brisbane or Cairns is the date on which the period stated in schedule 3 for the area ends. 6 Boundaries of additional (non-emergency) security areas (1) The exact location of the boundary of each additional (non-emergency) security area is held in digital electronic form by the department. (2) Maps showing the exact location of the boundary of each additional (non-emergency) security area can be accessed, free of charge, on the department’s website. Editor’s note — The department’s website address is <www.police.qld.gov.au>. (3) The information held in digital electronic form can be reduced or enlarged to show the details of the boundaries.
