commences on 1 January 2011.3Macropods to which notice appliesThis
notice applies to the following species (each aharvestmacropod)—(a)eastern grey kangaroo (Macropus giganteus);(b)red kangaroo (Macropus
rufus);(c)common wallaroo
(Macropus robustus).4DefinitionsIn this
notice—additionalweight,foreachprescribedpartofaharvestmacropod, means the additional weight stated
in schedule 1,column 2 opposite the prescribed part of the
macropod statedin schedule 1, column 1.conservationplanmeanstheNatureConservation(Macropod)
Conservation Plan 2005.dress, a
harvest macropod—(a)means—(i)to

head, paws, tail or an internal organof the macropod;
but(b)does not include to process the
macropod.fullydressed,inrelationtoaharvestmacropod,meansaharvest macropod with all of the
following parts removed—(a)the head;(b)the viscera;(c)each
of the forelimbs, from the elbow joint;(d)the
foot of 1 hind limb, from a point below the tarsaljoint;(e)thehindlimb,otherthanthehindlimbmentionedinparagraph (d), from a point on the tibia
midway betweenthe knee and ankle joints;(f)the tail, not more than 160mm from a
point where theundersideofthetailjoinsthebodyintheexternalurogenital

3.prescribed part, of a harvest
macropod, means a part of themacropod stated
in schedule 1, column 1.relevant region, for a harvest
macropod, means each regionmentioned and

macropods(1)Theharvestperiodforaharvestmacropodstarts,foreachrelevant region
for the macropod, on 1 January 2011 and endsat the end
of—(a)if the chief executive has published a
notice stating thechief executive is satisfied that for the
year the relevantmaximum amount for the macropod for the
region willhave been taken by a day stated in the
notice—the statedday; or(b)otherwise—31 December 2011.(2)A notice mentioned in subsection
(1)(a) must be published—(a)in a newspaper
circulating generally in the State; and(b)on
or before the day the harvest period ends.(3)If
the chief executive publishes or intends to publish a noticementioned in subsection (1)(a) for a harvest
macropod for arelevant region, the chief executive must
also give each holderof a macropod harvesting licence for
the macropod a writtennotice stating—(a)thechiefexecutiveissatisfiedthattherelevantmaximumamountforthemacropodfortherelevantregionwillhavebeentakenbythedaystatedinthenotice; and(b)the
harvest period for the macropod for the region endsat
the end of the stated day.(4)Thechiefexecutivemustgivethenoticementionedinsubsection (3) at least 7 days before
the day the harvest periodends.(5)In

6]estimatedpopulationsize,foraharvestmacropodinarelevant region
for the macropod, means the population sizeestimatedbythechiefexecutiveforthemacropodfortherelevant region for 2011.macropod harvesting licencemeans—(a)a
commercial wildlife harvesting licence for macropods;or(b)a recreational
wildlife harvesting licence for macropods.relevant maximum
amountmeans—(a)for
an eastern grey kangaroo—(i)forthecentralregionforthekangaroo—15%ofthe
estimated population size for the kangaroo inthe region;
or(ii)fortheeasternregionforthekangaroo—10%ofthe
estimated population size for the kangaroo inthe region;
or(b)for a red kangaroo—(i)forthecentralregionforthekangaroo—19%ofthe
estimated population size for the kangaroo inthe region;
or(ii)fortheeasternregionforthekangaroo—10%ofthe
estimated population size for the kangaroo inthe region;
or(iii)for the western
region for the kangaroo—10% ofthe estimated
population size for the kangaroo inthe region;
or(c)for a common wallaroo—(i)for the central region for the
wallaroo—15% of theestimatedpopulationsizeforthewallaroointheregion;
or(ii)for the eastern
region for the wallaroo—10% of theestimatedpopulationsizeforthewallaroointheregion;

macropod fromparticular region(1)For
section 11(1)(b) of the conservation plan, the eastern greykangaroo must not be taken from the western
region duringthe harvest period.(2)In
this section—westernregionmeansthelocalgovernmentareasoftheBoulia,Burke,Carpenteria,Cloncurry,DiamantinaandMount Isa local governments.8Condition on use of harvest
macropod(1)For section 11(1)(e) of the
conservation plan, the carcass orskin of a
harvest macropod taken under a commercial wildlifeharvestinglicenceformacropodsduringtheharvestperiodmust
not be sold or given during the period if the macropod’sbody
has a bullet wound.(2)In this section—body, of
a harvest macropod, means a part of the macropod’sbody
other than its head.9Minimum area for skin of harvest
macropod taken forskin onlyFor section
12(2) of the conservation plan, the minimum areafor
the skin of a harvest macropod taken for its skin only is0.41m2.10Minimum weights
for carcass of harvest macropod takenfor meat only or
meat and skinForsection13(2)oftheconservationplan,theminimumweightforthecarcassofaharvestmacropodtakenforitsmeat only or for
