areaThe whole of Queensland is declared to be a

rust into the pestquarantine area; and(b)to
prevent or control the spread of myrtle rust in the pestquarantine area; and(c)to
prevent or control pest infestations of myrtle rust inthe
pest quarantine area.5Restriction on
introduction(1)A person must not, without an
inspector’s approval, introduceinto the pest
quarantine area—(a)myrtle rust; or(b)a
Myrtaceae plant grown in or despatched from anotherState
in which myrtle rust has been detected; or(c)an
appliance that has been in contact with a Myrtaceaeplant
mentioned in paragraph (b).(2)Aninspectormaygiveanapproval,withorwithoutconditions,fortheintroductionofathingmentionedinsubsection (1)(b) or (c) only if the
inspector is satisfied theintroductionofthethingwillnotposeasignificantriskofspreading myrtle rust in the pest
quarantine area.(3)In this section—Myrtaceae
plantmeans a plant of the family
Myrtaceae.Note—Under the Act,
schedule 2—plantmeans a member of
the plant kingdom and includes the seed orseedling of or a
part of a plant, whether living or dead and whetherattached to a plant but does not include
timber in service.Examples of a part of a plant—flower, foliage, fruit, germplasm,
