Technicians and Dental Prosthetists BoardofQueenslandundertheDentalTechniciansandDentalProsthetistsRegistrationAct2001asinforcefromtimetotime
before 1 July 2010.former state board, for a health
profession, means—(a)a board under any of the following
repealed Acts—(i)Chiropractors Registration Act
2001;(ii)Dental
Practitioners Registration Act 2001;(iii)Medical
Practitioners Registration Act 2001;Current as at 1 July 2010Page

Privacy Act 20094Applications under the Information
Privacy Act 2009, s43, 44 or 94(1)This
section applies if, immediately before 1 July 2010—(a)a former state board for a health
profession had starteddealingwith,buthadnotfinallydealtwith,anapplicationundertheInformationPrivacyAct2009,section 43, 44 or 94; or(b)theDentalTechniciansandProsthetistsBoardofQueensland had started dealing with,
but had not finallydealt with, an application—(i)madeundertheInformationPrivacyAct2009,section 43, 44 or 94; and(ii)related to the
dental prosthetics profession.(2)From
1 July 2010, the relevant transitional board must dealwith
the application.(3)Subsection (2) applies subject to
theInformation Privacy Act2009,
chapter 3, part 4.(4)For this section, theInformation Privacy Act 2009applies tothe application
as if—(a)the relevant transitional board were
an agency within themeaning of that Act; andCurrent as at 1 July 2010Page

this section—relevant transitional boardmeans—(a)for
an application mentioned in subsection (1)(a)—theNational Board for the health profession;
or(b)for an application mentioned in
subsection (1)(b)—theDental Board of Australia.5Applications under the Information
Privacy Act 2009, s 99(1)This section
applies if, immediately before 1 July 2010, theinformation
commissioner had started dealing with, but hadnotfinallydealtwith,anapplicationundertheInformationPrivacy Act
2009, section 99 for a reviewable decision
madeby—(a)a former state
board for a health profession; or(b)theDentalTechniciansandProsthetistsBoardofQueensland,ifthedecisionrelatedtothedentalprosthetics profession.(2)For
the purposes of theInformation Privacy Act 2009,chapter3,part9,therelevanttransitionalboardistakentobetheagency that made
the decision.(3)In this section—relevant
transitional boardmeans—(a)for
a reviewable decision made by a former state boardforahealthprofession—theNationalBoardforthehealth profession; or(b)forareviewabledecisionmadebytheDentalTechnicians and
Prosthetists Board of Queensland—theDental Board of

decision under theInformation Privacy Act 2009(1)This section applies if—(a)apersonwasaffectedbyareviewabledecisionmadebefore 1 July
2010 by—(i)a former state board for a health
profession; or(ii)theDentalTechniciansandProsthetistsBoardofQueensland,ifthedecisionrelatedtothedentalprosthetics profession; and(b)immediately before 1 July 2010, the
person could haveapplied for review of the decision under
theInformationPrivacy Act
2009, section 94 or 99; and(c)the
person had not applied for the review before 1 July2010.(2)Thepersonmay,withintheperiodallowedundertheInformationPrivacyAct2009,section96(c)or101(1)(d),apply for review
of the decision as if that Act applied to theapplication.(3)For
subsection (2), the relevant transitional board is taken tobe
the agency that made the reviewable decision.(4)In
this section—relevant transitional boardmeans—(a)for
a reviewable decision made by a former state boardforahealthprofession—theNationalBoardforthehealth profession; or(b)forareviewabledecisionmadebytheDentalTechnicians and
Prosthetists Board of Queensland—theDental Board of

section applies if, immediately before 1 July 2010—(a)a former state board for a health
profession had starteddealingwith,buthadnotfinallydealtwith,anapplicationundertheRighttoInformationAct2009,section 24 or 80; or(b)theDentalTechniciansandProsthetistsBoardofQueensland had started dealing with,
but had not finallydealt with, an application—(i)madeundertheRighttoInformationAct2009,section 24 or 80; and(ii)related to the dental prosthetics
profession.(2)From 1 July 2010, the relevant
transitional board must dealwith the
application.(3)Subsection (2) applies subject to
theRight to Information Act2009,
chapter 3, part 4.(4)For this section, theRight to Information Act 2009applies tothe application
as if—(a)the relevant transitional board were
an agency within themeaning of that Act; and(b)theapplicationhadbeenmadetotherelevanttransitional board.(5)In

with, but hadnotfinallydealtwith,anapplicationundertheRighttoInformationAct2009,section85forareviewabledecisionmade
by—(a)a former state board for a health
profession; or(b)theDentalTechniciansandProsthetistsBoardofQueensland,ifthedecisionrelatedtothedentalprosthetics profession.(2)For
the purposes of theRight to Information Act 2009,
chapter3,part9,therelevanttransitionalboardistakentobetheagency that made
the decision.(3)In this section—relevant
transitional boardmeans—(a)for
a reviewable decision made by a former state boardforahealthprofession—theNationalBoardforthehealth profession; or(b)forareviewabledecisionmadebytheDentalTechnicians and
