Fair Trading (Expandable Toys) Order 2008 [s 1] Fair Trading (Expandable Toys) Order 2008 [reprinted as in force on 22 February 2008] 1 Short title This order may be cited as the Fair Trading (Expandable Toys) Order 2008 . 2 Supply of expandable toys prohibited (1) The supply of an expandable toy is prohibited under section 85 of the Act. (2) In this section— expandable toy means a toy that— (a) when supplied, is of a size that, when tested in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2002, part 1, clause 5.2, fits entirely into the small parts cylinder shown in that clause; and (b) is designed to expand when immersed in liquid. Note — Section 85 of the Act provides for the Minister making orders prohibiting or restricting the supply of goods or services that, in the Minister’s opinion, are likely to cause death or injury or adversely affect the health or wellbeing of a person. Under section 85(5) of the Act, this order expires 18 months after the order commences, and may not be renewed.
