Local Government (Internal Boundaries) Regulation 2007 [s 1] Local Government (Internal Boundaries) Regulation 2007 [as amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 29 February 2008] Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Internal Boundaries) Regulation 2007 . Part 2 Implementation of internal boundaries review for City of Brisbane 2 Redivision of electoral wards for City of Brisbane (1) This section implements the reviewable local government matters recommended in the local government electoral and boundaries review commission report (the report ) of August 2007 called ‘2007 Redivision of Electoral Wards within the City of Brisbane, Final Determination’ and tabled in the Legislative Assembly on 7 September 2007. (2) The local government area of the City of Brisbane is redivided into the 26 electoral wards named in schedule 1. (3) The boundaries of an electoral ward are shown on the map mentioned on page iii of the report and in schedule 1, opposite the electoral ward’s name. Reprint 1B effective 29 February 2008 Page 3

Local Government (Internal Boundaries) Regulation 2007 Part 3 Division boundaries for particular new, adjusted and continuing local government areas [s 3] 3 When implementation takes effect (1) Each reviewable local government matter mentioned in this part for a local government, or for the local government area of a local government, takes effect— (a) for the purposes of the 2008 quadrennial local government elections for the mayor and councillors of the local government—on the commencing day; and (b) for any other purpose—on the concluding day for the local government. (2) In this section— commencing day means the day this regulation commences. concluding day , for a local government, means the conclusion of the 2008 quadrennial elections for the mayor and councillors of the local government. 4 Identification and inspection of maps of electoral wards Each map mentioned in schedule 1— (a) is identified by a map number marked on the map; and (b) may be inspected without fee at the office of the department in Brisbane. Part 3 Division boundaries for particular new, adjusted and continuing local government areas 5 Division boundaries for particular divided local government areas (1) For the Act, section 159YH(f)(i), the area map of the division boundaries of a new local government area divided into Page 4 Reprint 1B effective 29 February 2008

Local Government (Internal Boundaries) Regulation 2007 [s 6] divisions is mentioned in schedule 2, part 1, opposite the name of the local government area to which it relates. (2) For the Act, section 159YJ(2)(e)(i), the area map of the division boundaries of an adjusted local government area divided into divisions is mentioned in schedule 2, part 2, opposite the name of the local government area to which it relates. (3) For the Act, section 159YL(e)(i), the area map of the division boundaries of a continuing local government area divided into divisions is mentioned in schedule 2, part 3, opposite the name of the local government area to which it relates. 6 Identification and inspection of area maps of division boundaries Each area map mentioned in schedule 2— (a) is identified by a map number marked on the map; and (b) may be inspected without fee at the office of the department in Brisbane. 7 Expiry of pt 3 (1) This part is a reform implementation regulation under chapter 3, part 1B of the Act. (2) Unless it is earlier repealed, this part expires at the end of 31 December 2011 or at an earlier dated fixed under a regulation under section 159ZZA of the Act for the expiry of chapter 3, part 1B of the Act.
