classes of person are corresponding reportableoffenders—(a)personswhoarereportableoffendersundertheChildProtection(OffenderReportingandRegistration)Act(NT);(b)personswhoareregistrablepersonsundertheChildProtection
(Offenders Registration) Act 2000(NSW);(c)personswhoareregistrableoffendersundertheChildSex Offenders
Registration Act 2006(SA);(d)personswhoarereportableoffendersundertheCommunityProtection(OffenderReporting)Act2005(Tas) because of
being sentenced by a court for a class 1,2 or 3 offence
under that Act—(i)against or in relation to a child;
or(ii)thatinvolveschildabusematerial,childexploitationmaterial,childpornographyorchildpornography
material;(e)personswhoarereportableoffendersundertheCommunityProtection(OffenderReporting)Act2004(WA), other than
persons who are reportable offendersmerely because
of being sentenced by a court for a class3 offence under
that Act;(f)persons who are registrable offenders
under theCrimes(Child Sex
Offenders) Act 2005(ACT);(g)personswhoareregistrableoffendersundertheSexOffendersRegistrationAct2004(Vic),otherthanpersons who are registrable offenders merely
because ofbeingsentencedbyacourtforaclass3or4offenceunder that

correspondingAct—Act, s 16(2)For section
16(2) of the Act, a person may contact a personnominated by the
police commissioner for the purposes of thatsection in the
following other ways—(a)by fax;(b)by mail;(c)by
email;(d)in person.7Change of travel plans while out of
Queensland to begiven—Act, s 21(3)(1)Forsection21(3)(a)oftheAct,areportableoffendermaymake the report to the address of the
following persons—(a)the reportable offender’s case
manager;(b)anotherpersonnominatedbythepolicecommissionerby written
notice given to the reportable offender.(2)For
section 21(3)(b) of the Act, the reportable offender mayalso
make the report by mail.8Police
commissioner may direct report be made at statedpolice station—Act, s 25(1)(b)(1)For section 25(1)(b) of the Act, the
police commissioner may,bywrittennoticegiventoareportableoffender,directtheoffender to report (either generally or in a
particular case) at astated police station.(2)Awrittennoticegiventoareportableoffenderundersubsection (1)
must be given to the offender at least 7 daysbefore the day
the offender is required to make the report.9Where
report must be made—Act, s 25(3)(1)For
section 25(3) of the Act, the following police stations, orclass of police stations, are not to be used

approval—(a)forareportableoffenderthesubjectofacurrentreporting
station notice—a police station other than thepolicestationstatedinthecurrentreportingstationnotice; or(b)otherwise—a police beat.(2)In
this section—currentreportingstationnotice,forareportableoffender,meanseitherofthefollowinginforceatthetimethereportable offender is required to make a
report under part 4of the Act—(a)adirectiongiventotheoffenderbythepolicecommissioner under section 25(1)(b) of the
Act;(b)anoticegiventotheoffenderbythepolicecommissioner
under section 54 of the Act that states apolice station

approved by the policecommissioner.Examples of
approved electronic reporting methods—automated kiosks
or online through a secure website administered bythe
Queensland Police Service11When report must
be madeA report that a reportable offender is
required to make underthe Act must be made—(a)between 8a.m. and 4p.m. on a business
day; or(b)at another time approved by the police
commissioner bywritten notice given to the offender.12Form of identification to be presented
with report madein person—Act, s 29(1)(a)(i) and (b)(1)For section 29(1)(a)(i) of the Act, if
the reportable offender isnot able to present the offender’s
driver licence, the offendermustpresent2oftheformsofidentificationorotherdocuments stated
in subsection (3), at least 1 of which must beidentification
or a document mentioned in subsection (3)(a),(b), (c) or
(d).(2)For section 29(1)(b) of the Act, if a
report is being made by aperson who is not a reportable
offender, the person must—(a)advisethepoliceofficerreceivingthereportofthecapacityinwhichthepersonismakingthereport,including,forexample,astheoffender’sparent,guardian, carer or nominee; and(b)if the person is not able to present
the person’s driverlicence, present 2 of the forms of
identification or otherdocuments stated in subsection (3), at
least 1 of whichmustbeidentificationoradocumentmentionedinsubsection (3)(a), (b), (c) or

certified birth extract;(b)an Australian
passport or another document of identityissuedbythedepartmentinwhichthePassportsAct1938(Cwlth) is
administered, that is current or has beenexpired for less
than 2 years;(c)a current overseas passport;(d)an Australian naturalisation or
citizenship document orimmigrationpapersissuedbytheCommonwealthdepartment in
which theMigration Act 1958(Cwlth)
isadministered;(e)a
current Medicare card, pensioner concession card, anentitlement card issued by the department in
which theVeterans’EntitlementsAct1986(Cwlth)isadministered, or another entitlement
card issued by theCommonwealth or a State government;(f)a current credit card, debit card or
other account from afinancialinstitution,orapassbookorstatementofaccountnotmorethan1yearoldfromafinancialinstitution;(g)a
telephone, gas or electricity bill not more than 1 yearold;(h)anoticeofratesfromalocalgovernmentoralocalgovernmentcouncil(howeverdescribed)inanotherState, water
service charges or land valuation, not morethan 2 years
old;(i)anelectoralenrolmentcardorotherevidenceofenrolment as an elector not more than
2 years old;(j)acurrentstudentidentitycard,oracertificateorstatement of enrolment not more than 2 years
old froman educational institution.(4)A form of identification or other
document presented underthis section by a reportable offender
or other person making areport must be an original.Page

29(5)(1)Forsection29(5)oftheAct,ifapersonmakesareportotherwise than
in person, the person must verify the reportableoffender’sidentityand,ifthepersonisnotthereportableoffender, the
person’s identity, by providing—(a)the
unique personal identification number (PIN)
givento the offender by the police commissioner;
or(b)ifthepersonisunabletoprovidetheoffender’sPIN,sufficientpersonalinformationreasonablyrequiredbythepoliceofficerreceivingthereporttoverifytheidentityoftheoffenderandthepersonmakingthereport.(2)Also, by registered mail, the reportable
offender must send tothe police officer to whom the report
is made a copy of anydocument verifying or supporting
details in the report.(3)Acopyofadocumentmentionedinsubsection(2)must,before being
sent, be certified by a person who is any of thefollowing—(a)a
commissioner of declarations or a justice of the peace;(b)a magistrate or a judge;(c)a member of the Commonwealth or a
State Parliamentor a member of a local government;(d)a medical practitioner;(e)a commissioned police officer under
thePolice ServiceAdministration
Act 1990;(f)the manager of a
financial institution;(g)aregisteredteacherundertheEducation(QueenslandCollege of
Teachers) Act 2005;(h)a registered
nurse;(i)anAustralianlawyerundertheLegalProfessionAct2004;(j)the chief executive officer of a local

a local government.(4)In this section—localgovernmentincludesalocalgovernmentcouncil,however described, in another State.registered nursemeans a person
registered under the HealthPractitioner
Regulation National Law—(a)to practise in
the nursing and midwifery profession as anurse, other
than as a student; and(b)in the
registered nurses division of that profession.14Who
must give notice to reportable offender—Act, s 54(3)For
section 54(3) of the Act, notice of a reportable offender’sreporting obligations must be given to the
reportable offenderby the following—(a)for
a reportable offender subject to an offender reportingorder made under section 13 of the Act, the
court thatmakes the offender reporting order;(b)for a reportable offender who is
either of the following,the chief executive (corrective
services)—(i)a prisoner;(ii)areportableoffendersubjecttoasupervisionorder, other
than a supervision order made undertheYouth Justice Act 1992;(c)for a reportable offender who is
either of the following,the chief executive of the department
in which theYouthJustice Act
1992is administered—(i)a
child detainee;(ii)a reportable
offender subject to a supervision ordermade under

offender—Act, s 54(7)Forsection54(7)oftheAct,whenareportableoffenderreports his or her personal details to the
police commissioner,the police commissioner must give the
offender a notice thatincludesinformationspecifyingtheoffender’sreportingperiod.16Details to be included in notice given by
supervisingauthority to police commissioner—Act, s
58(3)For section 58(3) of the Act, a notice given
under that sectionmust include the following details—(a)the reportable offender’s name and
other details of theoffender’s identity;(b)the relevant dates for the event for
which notice is beinggiven;(c)any
place relevant to the event;(d)the
