s1 3 s5 Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management—Yellow Crazy Ant) Emergency Pest Notice 2004 LAND PROTECTION (PEST AND STOCK ROUTE MANAGEMENT—YELLOW CRAZY ANT) EMERGENCY PEST NOTICE 2004 [reprinted as in force on 14 May 2004] 1 Short title This notice may be cited as the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management—Yellow Crazy Ant) Emergency Pest Notice 2004 . 2 Definitions In this notice— “yellow crazy ant” means Anoplolepis gracilipes . 3 Declaring declared pest by emergency pest notice—Act, 37 This notice is an emergency pest notice for section 37(2) of the Act. 1 4 Nature of emergency The nature of the emergency is that urgent action is needed to protect the State from an adverse economic, environmental or social impact caused, or likely to be caused, by yellow crazy ant. 5 Area in which notice applies This notice applies in the whole of the State. 1 Unless it is earlier repealed, this notice ceases to have effect 3 months after it is gazetted. See section 37(7) of the Act.
