purposes of this regulation are—(a)toimplementreviewablelocalgovernmentmattersrecommendedinelectoralandboundariesreviewcommission reports;1and(b)to facilitate the
implementation of the reviewable localgovernment
matters.(2)Thisregulationimplementsreviewablelocalgovernmentmattersinvolving,foreachlocalgovernmentmentionedinthis regulation, 1 or more of the
following—(a)divisional arrangements;(b)composition;(c)assignment of councillors to
divisions.1EachreportidentifiedinthisregulationmaybeinspectedattheofficeoftheElectoral Commission of Queensland at
160 Mary Street, Brisbane and the publicoffice of the
local government to which the report relates.

implementation takes effect(1)Each reviewable
local government matter mentioned in part 2for a local
government takes effect—(a)for the purposes
of the 2004 quadrennial elections forthe mayor and
councillors of the local government—onthe commencing
day; and(b)foranyotherpurpose—ontheconcludingdayforthelocal
government.(2)In this section—commencing
daymeans the day this section commences.concluding day, for a local
government, means the conclusionofthe2004quadrennialelectionsforthemayorandcouncillors of the local
government.4References to mapsIn this
regulation, a reference to a map is a reference to a mapheld
by, and available for inspection at, the following—(a)the department;2(b)the public office of the local
government to which themap relates.Part 2Implementation of reviewablelocal
