commences on 1 May 2002.Part 2Registration3Qualifications for general registration—Act,
s 44Forsection44(1)(a)oftheAct,aqualificationstatedinschedule1,column1,andconferredorawardedbytheeducational institution stated in
column 2 for the qualification,is a
qualification for general registration.4Period of registration—Act, s 56(1)For section 56(1) of the Act, the
general registration period isa financial
year.(2)However, the general registration
period for the financial yearbeginning on 1

Fees[s 5](3)After 1 July
2010, the general registration period is the periodbeginning on 2 July 2010 and ending on 30
November 2010.5Notification of change in
circumstances—Act, s 119For section 119 of the Act, each of
the following is a changeinaregistrant’scircumstancesofwhichtheboardmustbeadvised—(a)a
change in the registrant’s name;(b)a
change in the registrant’s address;(c)for a
special purpose registrant—a change in the way theregistrant undertakes the special activity
for which theregistrant is registered;Examples of a change for paragraph
(c)—1A registrant
undertakes the activity at a different place.2A
registrant changes the amount of time spent doing theactivity.3A
registrant ceases to do the activity.(d)the
registrant ceases to be qualified for registration.Part
3Fees6FeesThe
fees payable under the Act are stated in schedule 2.7Waiver of fee—financial
hardshipThe board may waive, wholly or partly, the
payment of a feeby a person if the board is satisfied
payment of the fee wouldcause the person financial

8]8Refund of registration fee(1)Theboardmustrefundtheregistrationfeeaccompanyingaperson’sapplicationforregistration,orrenewalofregistration, if—(a)the
board refuses to grant the application; or(b)thepersonwithdrawstheapplicationbeforeitisdecided.(2)Subsection(3)appliesif,within3monthsaftertheboarddecides to
register a person or renew a person’s registration,the
person surrenders the registration.(3)The
board must refund the registration fee paid by the personless
the amount of the registration fee stated in schedule 2 fora
period of registration of not more than 3 months.Part

prescribed—(a)aqualificationstatedinschedule3,part1,column1,and conferred or awarded by the
educational institutionstated in column 2 for the
qualification;(b)for a pre-1988 registrant—a
qualification in schedule 3,part 2, column 1,
and conferred or awarded in the yearstatedincolumn1forthequalificationbytheeducationalinstitutionstatedincolumn2forthequalification.12Period of registration for particular
registrants(1)This section applies to a person who
is taken to be registeredfor general registration under section
218(4) of the Act.(2)Despitesection4,thegeneralregistrationperiodfortheperson’sregistrationunderafirstrenewalapplicationis1August 2002 to 30 June 2003
(thefirst renewal period).13Registration fee for first renewal
