the prescribed internship—(a)consistsofatleast52weeksin1ormoreaccreditedinterntrainingprogramsoraccreditedinterntrainingsecondment

practical experience andtraining in each of the
following—(i)medicine, other than emergency

4Fees10FeesThe
fees payable under the Act are stated in schedule 2.10AExemption from payment of
fee—concurrent general andspecialist registration(1)A general registrant who makes an
application for specialistregistrationisexemptfrompaymentofthespecialistregistration fee
for the application.(2)A general registrant who is a
specialist registrant is exemptfrom payment of
the specialist registration fee for renewal ofthe registrant’s
specialist registration.(3)A specialist
registrant who makes an application for generalregistrationisexemptfrompaymentofthegeneralregistration fee
for the application.(4)A personwhomakesanapplicationforgeneralregistrationwith an
application for specialist registration is exempt frompayment of the specialist registration fee
for the applicationfor specialist registration.(5)A person who makes an application for
restoration of generalregistrationwithanapplicationforrestorationofspecialistregistration is
exempt from payment of the restoration fee forspecialist
registration.10BWaiver of fee—retired
practitioner(1)Theboardmaywaivepaymentofaregistrationfeeorspecialistregistrationfeebyapersonforaperiodofregistration, if—(a)theboardissatisfiedthepersondoesnotearnanyincome from the practice of the profession;

a Commonwealth law.seniors cardmeans a
Queensland Government seniors card.10BAExemption from payment of
fee—non-practisingregistrationAregistrantwhomakesanapplicationfornon-practisingregistration is
exempt from payment of the application fee forthe
application.11Waiver of fee—financial
hardshipThe board may waive, wholly or partly, the
payment of a feeby a person if the board is satisfied
payment of the fee wouldcause the person financial
hardship.12Refund of registration fee or
specialist registration fee(1)Theboardmustrefundtheregistrationfeeorspecialistregistrationfeeaccompanyingaperson’sapplicationforregistration, or renewal of registration,
if—(a)the board refuses to grant the
application; or(b)thepersonwithdrawstheapplicationbeforeitisdecided.(2)Subsection(3)appliesif,within3monthsaftertheboarddecides to
register a person or renew a person’s registration,the
