title1.ThisregulationmaybecitedastheLocalGovernment(ImplementationofReviewableLocalGovernmentMatters)Regulation 1999.˙Purposes2.(1)The
purposes of this regulation are—(a)to
implement reviewable local government matters recommendedin
local government electoral and boundaries review commissionreports;1and(b)tofacilitatetheimplementationofthereviewablelocalgovernment matters.(2)Thisregulationimplementsreviewablelocalgovernmentmattersinvolving,foreachlocalgovernmentmentionedinthisregulation,1ormore of the following—(a)divisional arrangements;1EachreportidentifiedinthisregulationmaybeinspectedattheofficeoftheDepartmentofCommunicationandInformation,LocalGovernment,PlanningandSportat111GeorgeStreet,Brisbaneandmayalsobeinspectedatthecommissioner’s office at 160 Mary

divisions.˙When implementation takes effect3.(1)Each reviewable
local government matter mentioned in part 2 for alocal
government, or for the local government area of a local
government,takes effect—(a)for
the purposes of the 2000 triennial elections for the mayor
andcouncillorsofthelocalgovernment—onthecommencingday;and(b)foranyotherpurpose—ontheconcludingdayforthelocalgovernment.(2)In
this section—“commencing day”, for a
reviewable local government matter for a localgovernment or
the local government area of a local government, meansthe
day on which the provision relating to the local government or
areacommences.“concludingday”, for a local
government, means the conclusion of the2000triennialelectionsforthemayorandcouncillorsofthelocalgovernment.˙References to maps4.In
this regulation, a reference to a map is a reference to a map held
by,and available for inspection in, the

1999.(2)The local government area of the City
of Brisbane is redivided intothe 26 electoral
