functions and powers(1)This section applies if, under an
Act—(a)ICC may perform a function or exercise
a power; and(b)ICCstartedtoperformthefunctionorexercisethepower,butdidnotfinishperformingthefunctionorexercising the power, before the dissolution
day.(2)TSIRC may, from the dissolution day,
continue to perform thefunction or exercise the power.5DRegistered provider under Housing Act
2003(1)Thissectionappliesif,immediatelybeforethedissolutionday, ICC is a
registered provider under theHousing Act
2003for providing housing services.(2)From the dissolution day,
TSIRC—(a)is taken to be a registered provider
under that Act forproviding housing services; and(b)has,tothegreatestpracticableextent,thesamefunctions, powers
and obligations of ICC in relation toits operation as
a registered provider for the services.

liability of ICC becomesthe asset or liability of TSIRC on the

grantmoneys from TSIRC to NPARC.(2)The registrar of titles or other
person responsible for keeping aregister for
dealings in assets must, if asked by TSIRC in theappropriateform,recordthetransferorthevestingofanyasset under this section in

not—(a)affecttheemployee’sbenefits,entitlementsorremuneration; or(b)prejudice the employee’s existing or
accruing rights tosuperannuation or recreation, sick, long
service or otherleave; or(c)interrupt continuity of service; or(d)constitute a retrenchment or
redundancy; or(e)entitletheemployeetoapaymentorotherbenefitmerelybecausethepersonisnolongeremployedbyICC.(4)Withoutlimitingsubsection(2),ifanindustrialinstrumentapplies to the
person immediately before the dissolution day,the instrument

special meeting ifasked by a majority of members of the

quorum for a special meeting is 5 members of the justicegroup, each of whom must be a representative
of a differentmain indigenous social grouping.13Number of members at special
meetingAt a special meeting, not more than 2
members of each mainindigenous social grouping, who are members

each member.7Vacation of office(1)The
office of a member of the justice group becomes vacantif—(a)the
member—(i)dies; or(ii)resigns office by notice given to the
coordinator forthe justice group; or(iii)ceases to be eligible to be a member;
or(iv)isabsentfrom5consecutivemeetingsofthejusticegroupwithoutthejusticegroup’spermission and without reasonable excuse;
or(b)the member’s nomination is withdrawn
under section 5.(2)Anoticementionedinsubsection(1)(a)(ii)maybegivenorally or in writing.8Coordinator to advise Minister of
