s1 3 Guide Dogs Regulation 1997 Guide Dogs Regulation 1997 [reprinted as in force on 5 January 1998] s5 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Guide Dogs Regulation 1997 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences when the Guide Dogs Amendment Act 1997 commences. 3 Approved institutions—Act, s 3 For section 3 of the Act, definition approved institution , the following are approved institutions— (a) the institutions stated in the schedule; (b) institutions established outside Australia that are members of The International Federation of Guide Dog Schools for the Blind. 4 Approved Queensland institutions—Act, s 3 For section 3 of the Act, definition approved Queensland institution , the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association of Queensland is an approved Queensland institution. 5 Excluded places and vehicles for guide dogs—Act, s 5(2) The following are places and vehicles to which section 5 of the Act does not apply— (a) the parts of a hospital consisting of labour wards, in-patient wards, operating theatres, sterilising areas and areas where food is prepared or served; (b) ambulances.

s6 4 s7 Guide Dogs Regulation 1997 6 Excluded places and vehicles for guide dog trainees—Act, s 6D(2)(b) The following places and vehicles are prescribed for section 6D(2)(b) of the Act— (a) the places and vehicles stated in section 5; (b) protected areas within the meaning of the Nature Conservation Act 1992 . 7 Repeals The instruments made under the Act as orders in council and published in the gazette on the following dates and at the following pages are repealed— • 10 March 1973 at page 1141 • 13 July 1974 at page 1543.
