areaThe area north of latitude 13º45' south is
declared to be a pest quarantinearea (the“pest
quarantine area”).3Restriction on
plant movement(1)A person must not, without an
inspector’s approval—(a)move a mango
leafhopper, or a plant, out of the pest quarantinearea; or(b)moveamangoleafhopper,oraplantinfestedwithmangoleafhopper, from a parcel of land within the
pest quarantine areato another parcel of land within the
area.(2)If the owner of land within the pest
quarantine area finds a mangoleafhopper on the
land, the owner must—(a)notifyaninspectorofthemangoleafhopper’spresenceontheland; and(b)take the reasonable measures that an
inspector requires to controlthe pest.Example of a reasonable measure—Treating a plant with a chemical
treatment.
