s1 3 s3 Nature Conservation (Duck and Quail Harvest Period) Notice 1997 NATURE CONSERVATION (DUCK AND QUAIL HARVEST PERIOD) NOTICE 1997 [reprinted as in force on 7 May 97] ˙ Short title 1. This notice may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Duck and Quail Harvest Period) Notice 1997 . ˙ Harvest period for ducks 2.(1) A harvest period for ducks starts on 28 June 1997 and ends on 7 September 1997. (2) The harvest period applies only in the areas of the local governments stated in the schedule, item 1. (3) A person must not— (a) take more than 12 ducks (regardless of species) in a period of 24 hours; or (b) have in possession at a place, other than the person’s usual place of residence, more than 30 ducks (regardless of species). ˙ Harvest period for quails 3.(1) A harvest period for quails starts on 10 May 1997 and ends on 3 August 1997. (2) The harvest period applies only in the areas of the local governments stated in the schedule, item 2. (3) A person must not— (a) take more than 25 quails (regardless of species) in a period of 24 hours; or
