POLICY REFORM(QUEENSLAND—NATURAL RESOURCESEXEMPTIONS) REGULATION 1996[as
amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 16 April
1997]˙Short title1.ThisregulationmaybecitedastheCompetitionPolicyReform(Queensland—Natural Resources Exemptions)
Regulation 1996.˙Forestry Act 1959,
s 46—specific authorisation2.(1)The terms,
conditions and reservations, including prices and rates,imposedbythePrimaryIndustriesCorporationonitssaleofforestproductsarespecificallyauthorisedfortheTradePracticesAct,section
51(1)(b)1or the Competition Code of this
jurisdiction, section 51.2(2)In
this section—“saleofforestproducts”meansasaleofforestproductona1Trade
Practices Act, section 51 (Exceptions)2Competition Code of this jurisdiction,
section 51 states that in deciding whethera person has
contravened the Competition Code, Part IV, certain things must
bedisregarded.Section51oftheCodeprovidesthatthefollowingmustbedisregarded—(a)........................(b)anythingdoneinaState,ifthethingisspecifiedin,andspecificallyauthorised
by:(i)an Act passed by the Parliament of
that State; or(ii)regulations made under such an
Act.

46.3˙Water Resources
Act 1989, s 231—specific authorisation3.The
following things are specifically authorised for the Trade
PracticesAct,section51(1)(b)ortheCompetitionCodeofthisjurisdiction,section 514—(a)thetermsdeterminedbythechiefexecutiveundertheWaterResources Act
1989, section 231(4)5and
specified in an approvalforaproposalaboutawaterallocation,limiting,onanoncompetitive
basis, the right of an owner of land to use waterunder a water allocation;(b)the decision of the chief executive
under theWater Resources Act1989,section231(4)torefuseanapplicationforanapprovalabout a water
allocation.˙Expiry4.This
regulation expires 2 years after it commences.3Section 46 (Corporation may sell forest
products or quarry material the propertyof the
Crown)4Competition Code of this jurisdiction,
section 51 states that in deciding whethera person has
contravened the Competition Code, Part IV, certain things must
bedisregarded.Section51oftheCodeprovidesthatthefollowingmustbedisregarded—(a)........................(b)anythingdoneinaState,ifthethingisspecifiedin,andspecificallyauthorised
