s1 3 Competition Policy Reform (Queensland) Savings and Transitional Regulation 1996 Competition Policy Reform (Queensland) Savings and Transitional Regulation 1996 [reprinted as in force on 2 April 1999] s3 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Competition Policy Reform (Queensland) Savings and Transitional Regulation 1996 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 21 July 1996. 3 Existing authorisations under the Trade Practices Act (1) If an authorisation granted under the Trade Practices Act (a Commonwealth authorisation ) is in force immediately before the commencement, a corresponding authorisation (a State authorisation ) is taken to have been also granted under the Competition Code. (2) A State authorisation has the same effect for the Competition Code as a Commonwealth authorisation has for the Trade Practices Act, and may be amended, revoked or otherwise dealt with under the Competition Code. (3) This section does not apply in relation to a Commonwealth authorisation if an authorisation in the same or substantially the same terms has already been granted as mentioned in section 44 of the Act. 1 1 Section 44 of the Act (Advance authorisations)

s4 4 Competition Policy Reform (Queensland) Savings and Transitional Regulation 1996 s4 4 Existing notifications under the Trade Practices Act (1) If a notice given under the Trade Practices Act, section 93, 2 (a Commonwealth notice ) is in force immediately before the commencement, a corresponding notice (a State notice ) is taken to have been also given under the Competition Code, section 93. 3 (2) The State notice has the same effect for the Competition Code as the Commonwealth notice has for the Trade Practices Act, and may be withdrawn or otherwise dealt with under the Competition Code. (3) This section does not apply in relation to a Commonwealth notice if a notice in the same or substantially the same terms has already been given as mentioned in section 44 of the Act.
