commences on 21 July 1996.3Existing
authorisations under the Trade Practices Act(1)If an
authorisation granted under the Trade Practices Act (aCommonwealth authorisation) is
in force immediately beforethecommencement,acorrespondingauthorisation(aStateauthorisation) is taken to
have been also granted under theCompetition
Code.(2)A State authorisation has the same
effect for the CompetitionCodeasaCommonwealthauthorisationhasfortheTradePracticesAct,andmaybeamended,revokedorotherwisedealt with under
the Competition Code.(3)This section does
not apply in relation to a Commonwealthauthorisation if
an authorisation in the same or substantiallythesametermshasalreadybeengrantedasmentionedinsection 44 of the Act.11Section 44 of the Act (Advance

notice given under the Trade Practices Act, section 93,2(aCommonwealthnotice)isinforceimmediatelybeforethecommencement,acorrespondingnotice(aStatenotice)istaken to have
been also given under the Competition Code,section
93.3(2)The State notice
has the same effect for the Competition Codeas the
Commonwealth notice has for the Trade Practices Act,andmaybewithdrawnorotherwisedealtwithundertheCompetition Code.(3)This
section does not apply in relation to a Commonwealthnotice if a notice in the same or
substantially the same termshas already been
given as mentioned in section 44 of the Act.(4)ThissectionappliestoanoticegivenundertheTradePractices Act,
