notice may be cited as theNature Conservation (Protected
PlantsHarvest Period) Notice (No. 2) 1996.˙Harvest period for
protected plants2.(1)A harvest period
for protected plants starts on the day this noticecommences and ends on 31 December
1998.(2)Despite subsection (1), a person may
take an endangered plant only ifthe person holds
a recreational wildlife harvesting licence.(3)A
person who takes and uses a protected plant must comply with
theCode of Practice for the Taking and Use of
Protected Plants,1approved bythe Minister and
published by the department.1Acopyofthecodeofpracticeisavailableforpurchaseorinspectionatthecentral and regional offices of the
department.
