This notice may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Protected Plants Harvest Period) Notice (No. 2) 1996 . ˙ Harvest period for protected plants 2.(1) A harvest period for protected plants starts on the day this notice commences and ends on 31 December 1998. (2) Despite subsection (1), a person may take an endangered plant only if the person holds a recreational wildlife harvesting licence. (3) A person who takes and uses a protected plant must comply with the Code of Practice for the Taking and Use of Protected Plants, 1 approved by the Minister and published by the department. 1 A copy of the code of practice is available for purchase or inspection at the central and regional offices of the department.
