s1 3 Transport Planning and Coordination Regulation 1995 Transport Planning and Coordination Regulation 1995 [reprinted as in force on 18 March 1996] s4 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Transport Planning and Coordination Regulation 1995 . 2 SEQTA area The areas of the following local governments is the area in the SEQTA area— (a) the cities of Brisbane, Caloundra, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redcliffe and Toowoomba; (b) the shires of Beaudesert, Boonah, Caboolture, Esk, Gatton, Kilcoy, Laidley, Maroochy, Noosa, Pine Rivers and Redland. 3 SEQTA board’s functions The SEQTA board’s functions are— (a) to provide advice to the Minister on a broad range of transport issues; and (b) to provide a forum where stakeholders’ views can be considered; and (c) to provide reports on the effectiveness of integrated regional transport planning. 4 Procedures governing conduct of proceedings (1) The chairperson of the SEQTA board must preside at all meetings at which the chairperson is present. (2) If the chairperson is absent, the member chosen by the members present must preside.

s4 4 s4 Transport Planning and Coordination Regulation 1995 (3) At a meeting of the board— (a) half the members form a quorum; and (b) a question is decided by a majority of the votes of the members present and voting; and (c) each member present has a vote on each question to be decided and, if the votes are equal, the member presiding has a casting vote. (4) The board may conduct its proceedings (including its meetings) as it considers appropriate. (5) The board may hold meetings, or allow members to take part in meetings, by telephone, closed circuit television or another form of communication. (6) A member who takes part in a meeting of the board under permission under subsection (5) is taken to be present at the meeting.
