s1 3 s3 Primary Producers’ Cooperative Associations (Exemption of Cooperative Associations) Regulation 1994 PRIMARY PRODUCERS’ COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATIONS (EXEMPTION OF COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATIONS) REGULATION 1994 [as amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 18 December 1996] ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Primary Producers’ Cooperative Associations (Exemption of Cooperative Associations) Regulation 1994 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “corporation” means an entity mentioned in the Schedule. “purchaser or user member” means a shareholder of a corporation who— (a) is a primary producer; and (b) as a primary producer— (i) purchases supplies or services from the corporation; or (ii) uses the corporation’s services. ˙ Exemption 3. A corporation is exempt from the operation of section 22(1) of the Act to the extent necessary to allow the corporation’s rules to provide for a purchaser or user member to— (a) hold voting power; and (b) be entitled to only 1 vote on any business before a meeting of the corporation or at a poll or ballot conducted by the corporation; and
