commences on 18 February 1994.3Prescribed day for submission of application
for capital assistance(s 15(1))AnapplicationtotheMinisterforcapitalassistanceforaproposedcapitalprojecttobecarriedoutataneligiblenon-Stateschoolmustbegiven to the CAA by 31 March in the
relevant year.4Application for capital assistance (s
15(4))Thefollowinginformationmustbecontainedinoraccompanyanapplication for capital assistance by an
eligible non-State school—(a)the school’s name
and address;(b)the year the school was
established;(c)adescriptionoftheproposedprojectidentifyingthemajorfacilities to be
provided;(d)the purpose for which the facilities
will be used;(e)the estimated total project
cost;(f)the amount of capital assistance
sought;(g)other proposed sources of funding for
the project, including anyCommonwealth grants that have been
approved or applied for;(h)the year the
facilities are needed.

application by CAA (ss 16(1)(a) and 19(1)(a))ThefollowingarethecriteriaonwhichtheCAAmustassessanapplicationforcapitalassistance,oranapplicationforareviewofadecision to grant capital assistance,
from an eligible non-State school—(a)the
condition and number of existing facilities in relation to
thelevel of facilities needed;(b)the financial situation of the
school;(c)the age of the school;(d)theextenttowhichtheschoolprovidesboardingplacestostudents from remote areas of
Queensland.6Prescribed day for submission of
recommendation for capitalassistance (s 16(2))ArecommendationbytheCAAaboutanapplicationforcapitalassistance must be
given to the Minister by 30 September in the relevantyear.7Prescribed day
for provision of return by eligible non-State school(s
23(2))The approved authority of an eligible
non-State school must give, to theCAA, the written
return for the relevant year required by section 23(2) ofthe
Act by 31 May in the following year.8Prescribed day for provision of return by
CAA (s 24(1))ACAAmustgivetotheMinister,by30Juneeachyear,thewrittenreturn for the
previous year required by section 24(1) of the Act.
