This regulation may be cited as the Statutory Bodies Financial Arrangements (Investment with Financial Institutions) Regulation 1993 3 . ˙ Meaning of “foreign society” 2. In this regulation— “foreign society” has the meaning given by the Financial Institutions (Queensland) Code. ˙ Application of s.48(1)(d) of the Act 3. Section 48(1)(d) of the Act is declared to apply to a local authority, without limit of time, in respect of a deposit with a building society, credit union or foreign society.
