5 Local Government (Electoral Matters) Regulation 1993 LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ELECTORAL MATTERS) REGULATION 1993 [as amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 14 February 1994 2 ] † PART 1—PRELIMINARY ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Electoral Matters) Regulation 1993 3–4 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “area map” for a local authority means the map mentioned in Part 2 for the local authority; “division” of a local authority area means a division for the purposes of Part 4 of the Act. ˙ Maps of local authority areas 3.(1) The Director of Local Government must ensure each local authority mentioned in this regulation has a copy of its area map. (2) The Director of Local Government must keep a copy of each area map available for inspection by any person during normal office hours at the department’s head office. (3) The local authority must keep a copy of its area map available for inspection by any person during normal office hours at its public office. (4) A reference in this regulation to a map in terms of a reference number is a reference to the map assigned that number and kept by the Director of Local Government under this section.
6 Local Government (Electoral Matters) Regulation 1993 ˙ When electoral matters take effect 4. The electoral matters mentioned in Part 2 for a local authority take effect— (a) for the purposes of the triennial election to be held in 1994—on the day on which the provision in which the local authority is mentioned commences; and (b) for any other purpose—immediately before the repeal of the Act. † PART 2—ELECTORAL MATTERS FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES ˙ Shire of Albert 4A.(1) The area of the Shire of Albert is divided into 5 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB2 Edition 1. (2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—2 members; (b) Division 2—2 members; (c) Division 3—2 members; (d) Division 4—2 members; (e) Division 5—2 members. (3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 10 other members. ˙ Shire of Atherton 5.(1) The area of the Shire of Atherton is divided into 2 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB5 Edition 1.

(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 6 other members. ˙ Shire of Balonne 6.(1) The area of the Shire of Balonne is not divided into divisions. (2) The area is shown by map no. LGB7 Edition 1. (3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 9 other members. ˙ Shire of Banana 6A.(1) The area of the Shire of Banana is divided into 5 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB8 Edition 1. (2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—2 members; (b) Division 2—2 members; (c) Division 3—2 members; (d) Division 4—2 members; (e) Division 5—4 members. (3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 12 other members.

(2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—2 members; (b) Division 2—3 members; (c) Division 3—3 members. (3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 8 other members. ˙ Shire of Bauhinia 8.(1) The area of the Shire of Bauhinia is divided into 3 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB11 Edition 1. (2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—4 members; (b) Division 2—2 members; (c) Division 3—3 members. (3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 9 other members. ˙ Shire of Beaudesert 8A.(1) The area of the Shire of Beaudesert is divided into 8 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB12 Edition 1. (2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—1 member; (b) Division 2—1 member;

(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 12 other members. ˙ Shire of Boonah 10.(1) The area of the Shire of Boonah is divided into 3 divisions in accordance with map no. LGB17 Edition 1. (2) The assignment of members to the divisions is as follows— (a) Division 1—2 members; (b) Division 2—2 members; (c) Division 3—2 members.

(3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 8 other members. ˙ Shire of Boulia 12.(1) The area of the Shire of Boulia is not divided into divisions. (2) The area is shown by map no. LGB19 Edition 1. (3) The council for the shire consists of— (a) the chairperson; and (b) 7 other members. ˙ Shire of Caboolture 12A.(1) The area of the Shire of Caboolture is divided into 6 divisions in accordance with map no.
