s1 3 s4 Government Owned Corporations Regulation 1993 GOVERNMENT OWNED CORPORATIONS REGULATION 1993 [as amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 12 October 1994 2 ] ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Government Owned Corporations Regulation 1993 3–5 . ˙ Meaning of “QEC” 2. In this regulation— “QEC” means the Queensland Electricity Commission. ˙ References to entities 3. In this regulation, a reference to an entity is a reference to— (a) the entity when it is nominated to be a candidate GOC or declared to be a subsidiary of a candidate GOC; or (b) if the entity changes during the process of corporatisation of itself or another entity—the entity as it changes from time to time. ˙ Responsible Ministers may decide limits of nominated entities 4. To remove doubt during the process of corporatisation of government entities, the responsible Ministers may decide whether a specified part of a government entity is, or is not, taken to be included in— (a) an entity nominated to be a candidate GOC; or (b) an entity declared to be a subsidiary of a candidate GOC.

s5 4 s7 Government Owned Corporations Regulation 1993 ˙ Nomination of government entities to become candidate GOCs 5. Each government entity set out in Schedule 1 is nominated to be a candidate GOC. ˙ Government entities declared to be subsidiaries 6. Each government entity set out in Schedule 2 is declared to be a subsidiary of the Corporate Business Unit of QEC. ˙ Government entities declared to be GOCs 7. Each government entity set out in Schedule 3 is a GOC.

It became a GOC under the Government Owned Corporations (Ports) Regulation 1994 . Under that regulation, it became a GOC on 1 July 1994 as soon as the assets and liabilities of the candidate GOC of which it was the associate became its assets and liabilities. 2 This entity is included in Schedule 3 for information purposes only. It became a GOC under the Government Owned Corporations (Queensland Industry Development Corporation) Regulation 1994 . Under that regulation, it became a GOC on 1 October 1994. 3 This entity is included in Schedule 3 for information purposes only. It became a GOC under the Government Owned Corporations (Queensland Investment Corporation) Regulation 1994 . Under that regulation, it became a GOC on 1 October 1994.
