made and, under section 57 or59 of the
Act,1a justice issues a warrant to
apprehend a person.(2)If the warrant is issued at a place
appointed for holding a MagistratesCourt, the
complainant must, at the time the warrant is issued, file a copy
ofthe complaint with the clerk of the
court.(3)If the warrant is issued at a place
other than a place appointed forholding a
Magistrates Court, the complainant must, within 3 days of

section 67(1)(b)3of the Act, the following procedures
for computerstored information are approved—(a)proceduresmadebythechiefexecutiveandstatedinthedepartmental document titled ‘Computer
Warrant Procedures’;4(b)procedures made by the commissioner of the
police service andstated in the Department of Police document
titled ‘OperationalProcedures Manual’, section 13.20.54Prescribed
information—Act, s 69B(2)A document made under the approved
procedures and used to execute acomputer warrant

failure to pay an amount—(A)amount payable;
and(B)default period of imprisonment;(vii)
for a warrant of execution—the amount payable; and(b)the following information about the
person to whom the warrantrelates—(i)name;(ii)address stated on the warrant;(iii)latest known
address; and(c)the following information about the
offence or alleged offence inrelation to which
the warrant was issued—(i)description of
the offence or alleged offence;(ii)provisionoftheActorstatutoryinstrumentthatwascontravened or
allegedly contravened;(iii)date of the
offence or alleged offence;(iv)place where the

justice, under section 81 of the Act,11issue
a warrant tobring a person before justices to
testify.(2)If the warrant is issued at a place

copy of the complaint for the issue of the warrant with theclerk

Regulation 1993(3)A police officer must give a bench
charge sheet for each charge of anoffence to the
clerk of the court before which the defendant is brought.(4)The bench charge sheet must state the
names of the defendant and ofthe
complainant.(5)The bench charge sheet must also state
the offence with which thepersonischargedinaway,andwithwhicheverofthefollowingparticulars, that
may be necessary to inform the defendant of the nature ofthe
charge—(a)particularsoftheallegedtimeandplaceofcommittingtheoffence;(b)particulars of the person (if any) alleged
to be aggrieved;(c)particulars of the property (if any)
in question.(6)Anycircumstancesofaggravationonwhichitisintendedtorelymust be stated in the bench charge
sheet.(7)It is sufficient to describe an
offence in the words of the CriminalCode or the
statute defining it, or in similar words.(8)Adescriptionofpersonsorthingsthatwouldbesufficientinanindictment is sufficient in a bench

court must ensure that particulars of the amendment are
enteredon the bench charge sheet.(3)Ifthecourtacceptsapleaofadefendant,orentersapleaforadefendant, to a charge, the court must record
the plea on the bench chargesheet.(4)Also the court—(a)must
ensure the decision on the charge is recorded on the benchcharge sheet; and(b)may
make, or allow to be made, any entry on the bench chargesheet
the court considers appropriate.9Bench
cover sheets(1)This section applies to—(a)a charge for which a proceeding may be
brought under the Actforanoffence,ifno
Actrequiresabenchchargesheettobeprepared for the charge; and(b)an application made under the Act to a
court.(2)The court must record the following
information on a form called abench cover
sheet—(a)the names of the parties;(b)the nature of the complaint or
application;(c)any plea of the defendant (whether

complainant may file a documentwith the clerk of
