3 Queensland Marine Regulation 1992 QUEENSLAND MARINE REGULATION 1992 [as amended by all amendments that commenced on or before 27 July 1993 2 ] ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Queensland Marine Regulation 1992 3–5 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 1992. ˙ Fees 3. The fees set out in the Schedule are the fees to be paid for the purposes set out in the Schedule. ˙ Calculation of pilotage rates 4.(1) The pilotage rate payable in relation to a ship, under section 174(1) of the Act, is the greater of the following fees— (a) the fee calculated on the gross register tonnage of a ship; (b) the minimum fee. (2) The pilotage rate payable in relation to a ship, under section 174(3)(a) of the Act, is to be calculated according to— (a) the distance over which the ship is removed; and (b) the gross register tonnage of the ship. ˙ How conservancy dues calculated 5. Conservancy dues payable in relation to a ship are to be calculated according to the gross register tonnage of the ship.

4 Queensland Marine Regulation 1992 ˙ Interest on certain fees 6. For the purposes of sections 174(4)(iii) and 219(8)(ii) of the Act, interest is to be charged at the rate of 19.5% per annum calculated daily.
