3 Griffith University (Queensland College of Art) Order 1991 GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY (QUEENSLAND COLLEGE OF ART) ORDER 1991 [reprinted as in force on 12 November 1993 2 ] ˙ Short title 1. This order in council may be cited as the Griffith University (Queensland College of Art) Order 1991 3 . ˙ Commencement 2. This order in council commences on 1 January 1992. ˙ College established 3. A college of Griffith University is established. ˙ Name of college 4. The college established under section 3 is assigned the name “Queensland College of Art, Griffith University”. ˙ Situation of college 5. The college established under section 3 is to be situated in the City of Brisbane. ˙ Constitution of Advisory Council 6. An Advisory Council of the college is to be constituted— (a) to advise the Council of the University on such matters affecting the college as the Council of the University requests or as the Advisory Council thinks fit; and (b) to exercise the powers and perform the functions conferred or

4 Griffith University (Queensland College of Art) Order 1991 imposed on the Advisory Council under Statutes or by delegation by the Council of the University. ˙ Membership etc. of Advisory Council 7. The Council of the University may make Statutes specifying the membership of the Advisory Council and the method of appointment or election of members. ˙ Appointment of head of college 8. The Council of the University, after consultation with the Advisory Council, is to appoint as soon as practicable, a head of the college with the title “Provost and Director of the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University”. ˙ Annual budget 9.(1) The Council of the University is to determine an annual budget for the college. (2) The Provost and Director of the college is to administer the budget.
