2002]An act to amend the law relating to the
holding of offices in case of thedemise of the
Crown1Short titleThis Act may be
cited as theDemise of the Crown Act 1910.2Effect of demise
of the Crown on holding of office(1)The
holding of any office under the Crown shall not be affected,
norshall any fresh appointment thereto be
rendered necessary, by the demiseof the
Crown.(2)It shall not be necessary for the
holder of any office under the Crownwho before such
demise has taken any oath prescribed or provided for inany
statute to again take such oath after such demise; but where any
suchoath relates only to the then reigning
Sovereign, it shall be deemed to relateto such
Sovereign, his or her heirs and successors, according to
law.(3)This Act shall take effect as from the
last demise of the Crown.11Last
