5Insertion of new ss 12A and 12BAfter section 12—insert—12A Provisions of pt 5 of Act applying to Gold Coast 500—Act, s 12For section 12(2)(d) of the Act, the following provisions of the Act are prescribed as provisions that apply to the Gold Coast 500 for the major event period—

(a)section 31;

(b)section 36.

12B Provisions of pt 5 of Act applying to major event area for Gold Coast 500—Act, s 12For section 12(2)(e) of the Act, the following provisions of the Act are prescribed as provisions that apply to the major event area for the Gold Coast 500 for the major event period—

(a)section 18, other than subsections (5) and (8);

(b)sections 19 to 28;

(c)section 31A;

(d)section 40.

6Amendment of s 13 (Carrying out temporary works for Gold Coast 500—Act, s 16)Section 13(a) and (b)—omit, insert—

(a)the period starting on 7 September 2026 at the beginning of the day and ending on 22 October 2026 at midday;

(b)the period starting on 26 October 2026 at midday and ending on 21 November 2026 at the end of the day.
