1Short titleThis regulation may be cited as the National Energy Retail Law (Queensland) Amendment Regulation 2023.2Regulation amendedThis regulation amends the National Energy Retail Law (Queensland) Regulation 2014.3Insertion of new sch 5, s 7Schedule 5—insert—7Rule 25(1)Rule 25—insert—(1A)Subrule (1B) applies in relation to a bill issued during the financial year starting 1 July 2023 to a residential customer in Queensland for the sale or supply of electricity.(1B)The retailer must use its best endeavours to include the following statement at the beginning of the bill—‘The Queensland Government is providing a cost of living rebate to your household. The Australian Government is contributing funds for customers eligible under the Energy Price Relief Plan.’.(2)This section expires on 1 July 2024.
