• is given under the extended practice authority; and

• is for stock for the relevant health service to be used in a place in an isolated practice area

(5) Schedule 3— insert— Part 1A Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers Division 1 Preliminary 3A Definitions for part In this part— Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker means a person who holds—

(a) a Certificate III in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care; or

(b) a qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health that is higher than the qualification mentioned in paragraph (a).

practice plan, for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker, means a document in the approved form—

(a) developed and signed by the worker and the primary clinical supervisor for the worker; and

(b) stating the circumstances and conditions for the worker to administer a medicine.

primary clinical supervisor, for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker, means the person who has primary responsibility for supervising the clinical work performed by the worker for the worker’s employment in a relevant health service. Division 2 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers 3B Class of person An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker who is employed by a relevant health service. 3C Dealing authorised Column 1 Dealing Column 2 Medicine Column 3 Scope of dealing 1 administer a medicine mentioned in the extended practice authority called ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers’ the medicine is administered— • under the extended practice authority; and • in accordance with a practice plan for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker 2 possess an S4 medicine mentioned in the extended practice authority called ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers’ the medicine is possessed under the extended practice authority 7 Amendment of sch 20 (Isolated practice areas—local governments) (1) Schedule 20, after ‘Charters Towers,’— insert— Cherbourg, (2) Schedule 20, after ‘Flinders,’— insert— Goondiwindi, 8 Amendment of sch 22 (Dictionary) (1) Schedule 22— insert— relevant health service means—

(a) a Hospital and Health Service; or

(b) an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander health service.

(2) Schedule 22, definition Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander health service, from ‘means’ to ‘by’— omit, insert— means either of the following entities providing a service for maintaining, improving, restoring or managing the health of Aboriginal people or Torres Strait Islanders
