Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Building and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2016 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 May 2016. Part 2 Amendment of Building Regulation 2006 3 Regulation amended This part amends the Building Regulation 2006 . 4 Amendment of s 44 (QBCC licensee certificate for self-assessable building work) Section 44(2), ‘21(1)(b)’— omit, insert— 21(2)(b) 5 Replacement of s 51AC (Approval of amendment of QDC by adding part MP 2.4) Section 51AC— omit, insert— 51AC Approval of amendment of QDC by omitting part MP 2.4 (1) The amendment of the QDC by omitting part MP 2.4 is approved under section 13(3) of the Act. (2) The amendment was published by the chief executive on 31 March 2016. 6 Insertion of new s 51BLAD After section 51BLAC— insert— 51BLAD Approval of amendment of QDC by omitting part MP 5.1 (1) The amendment of the QDC by omitting part MP 5.1 is approved under section 13(3) of the Act. (2) The amendment was published by the chief executive on 31 March 2016. 7 Insertion of new s 51BLAAA After section 51BLA— insert— 51BLAAA Approval of amendment of QDC by omitting part MP 5.8 (1) The amendment of the QDC by omitting part MP 5.8 is approved under section 13(3) of the Act. (2) Schedule 7, table 1, item 7 and heading ‘Workplace area less than 2.3m²’— omit.
