National Energy Retail Law (Queensland) (Transitional) Regulation 2015 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the National Energy Retail Law (Queensland) (Transitional) Regulation 2015 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 July 2015. 3 Declaration that regulation is a transitional regulation This regulation is a transitional regulation. 4 Prescribed retailer—Electricity Act 1994 The reference in the following provisions of the Electricity Act 1994 to a prescribed retailer or retailer is taken to be a reference to a prescribed retail entity—

(a) section 55DBA (2);

(b) section 92, definition relevant qualifying customer.

5 Prescribed retail entities—Electricity Act 1994 (1) Each entity mentioned in subsection (2) is a prescribed retail entity for the following provisions of the Electricity Act 1994 —

(a) section 55DBA (1) (a) and (2);

(b) section 92, definitions feed-in tariff and relevant qualifying customer.

(2) The entities are—

(a) Ergon Energy Retail; and

(b) the entity that is a nominated retailer for the retail area comprising the area described in the schedule to special approval no. SA01/11, but only to the extent the entity provides customer retail services as a nominated retailer for the retail area.

(3) In this section— Ergon Energy Retail means Ergon Energy Queensland Pty Ltd ACN 121 177 802. nominated retailer means the retailer nominated as a local area retailer for electricity for this jurisdiction for the purposes of the NERL (Qld). Editor’s note— On the commencement of this section, the nominated retailer for the retail area is Origin Energy Electricity Limited ACN 071 052 287. Note— For the nomination of the retailer, see the National Energy Retail Law (Queensland) Regulation 2014 , section 5. 6 Expiry This regulation expires on 30 June 2016.
