Repealed on 21 July 2023 by 2023 SL No. 89 s 8.River Improvement Trust Regulation 2013Part 1Preliminary1Short titleThis regulation may be cited as the River Improvement Trust Regulation 2013.2CommencementThis regulation commences on 23 August 2013.Part 2River improvement areas and trusts3Continuation of river improvement areas and trusts(1)Each river improvement area mentioned in schedule 1, column 1 (a continued river improvement area) is continued in existence.(2)The trust constituted for each continued river improvement area is mentioned opposite the area in schedule 1, column 2 and continued in existence.(3)The local government area or part of a local government area comprising each continued river improvement area is mentioned opposite the area in schedule 1, column 3.(4)However, the Burdekin Shire Rivers Improvement Area, Burdekin Shire Rivers Improvement Trust and local government area of the Burdekin Shire Council are mentioned in schedule 1, columns 1, 2 and 3, for information purposes only.Notes—

1The Burdekin Shire Rivers Improvement Area is continued in existence under section 3(1) of the Act.

2The Burdekin Shire Rivers Improvement Trust is continued in existence under section 4(1) of the Act.

Part 3Miscellaneous4Numbering of improvement noticesA trust must give each improvement notice it issues a unique identifying number.5Register of improvement notices(1)A trust must keep a register of all improvement notices it issues.(2)The register must include for each improvement notice—

(a)a copy of the notice; and

(b)any or all of the following that are not stated in the copy of the notice—

(i)the name and address of the person to whom the notice is issued;

(ii)the date the notice is issued;

(iii)a description of the land to which the notice relates.

(3)The trust must make the register available for inspection free of charge, during normal business hours, at its office.6Annual budget—Act, s 13For section 13(6) of the Act, the prescribed date is 31 August in each year.7Allowance for secretaryA trust may pay its secretary the reasonable allowance decided by the trust having regard to the official duties under section 6(2) of the Act performed by the secretary.Part 4Abolition of Pioneer River Improvement Area and Trustpt 4 (s 8) sub 2014 SL No. 135s 48Abolition of Pioneer River Improvement Area and Trust(1)Each of the following is abolished—

(a)the Pioneer River Improvement Area;

(b)the Pioneer River Improvement Trust.
