(a)starts on the day the director becomes aware of the cancer diagnosis; and

(b)ends 30 days after the day mentioned in paragraph (a).

(4)For section 234C(2) of the Act, the prescribed period—

(a)starts on the day the cancer-related treatment is provided; and

(b)ends 120 days after the day the cancer-related treatment is completed, discontinued or otherwise ends.

(5)For section 234D(2) of the Act, the prescribed period—

(a)starts on the day the director becomes aware of the death; and

(b)ends 30 days after the day mentioned in paragraph (a).
