1Short titleThis regulation may be cited as the Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2024.2CommencementThis regulation commences on 1 July 2024.3Regulation amendedThis regulation amends the Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Regulation 2021.4Insertion of new s 6BAfter section 6A—insert—6BExemption for buying or supplying stock of national stockpile medicines—Act, s 7(1)For section 7(1) of the Act, the activities prescribed are buying or supplying stock of a national stockpile medicine.(2)However, each activity is prescribed only to the extent it is carried out by—

(a)a responsible government entity; or

(b)a person acting under a direction given by a responsible government entity.
